Darryl and Sylvia Dillenback
Darryl & Sylvia now have their own business, in which they work together, when they formed DNS Insurance, Inc.; representing Allstate Insurance Company, American Heritage Life Voluntary Benefits, and over 14 other specialized carriers.
Darryl brings an extensive executive management and consulting background, most recently as President and CEO of Union Metal Corporation, Canton, Ohio from 2003 to 2008. He held President and CEO positions at five previous companies before joining Union Metal Corp. With 22 years in a variety of industries requiring his business improvement expertise, he is well suited to own and manage his own business.
After receiving his B.S. degree from Clarkson University, Darryl spent his early business career in Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing functional roles. His industry experience is diverse, having worked for companies of domestic and international significance, ranging in size from $60 million to $9 billion in Revenue. Some of the more notable public companies were Ingersoll-Rand Corp., Trelleborg AB, Kennametal Corp., and Keystone International Corp.; in addition to private equity companies in business turnaround situations.
While at Union Metal Corp., the company received a “2007 Business Excellence Award” from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and a “2007 Manny Award” for manufacturing excellence presented by Cleveland’s Inside Business Magazine
Sylvia Attended Nursing School and spend the early years of their marriage raising their three children. Subsequently she held accounting positions with a large commercial travel agency, and was Customer Service Manager at International Watch Corp., a repair facility employing numerous watch makers. She also volunteered at Geauga Regional Hospital as a front desk and patient liaison representative for same day surgery.
Darryl and Sylvia reside in North Canton, Ohio. They have three grown children and five grand children. Their interests, outside of their business, revolve around their enthusiasm for cars and golfing. Darryl remains active on several area not-for-profit Boards – such as the Aultman Health Foundation and Aultman Hospital where he is Vice Chair and also on their investments and benefits committees; and the Buckeye Boy Scout Council, where he is their past Council President. He is also Chairman of Tread Corporation of Roanoke, VA.
